The past few months hae been very hectic, with night school, work, and studying for the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) entrance exam, which I passed. Still, I have not failed to find some time to let my creative side break through and today, I am please to announce that I have started a new icon project called Fusion Office 2010.

The official Office 2010 icons Microsoft designed were similar to Office 2007, but instead, every program used a letter for the icon along with a graphic defining its purpose. For illustrative purposes only, here is the official icon for Word 2010.



Now let's take the letter from that icon, apply a similar effect used for the Microsoft Office 2008 (Mac) icons, and a representative graphic that is partially derived from my Fusion Adobe CS4 icon set. So what does all that fusion lead to? Well here is an idea on what the finished product will look like, with a light version and a dark version.
